Galentine’s Day Ideas

What is February 13th you ask? It’s Galentine’s Day DUH!”

Valentine’s Day 2019 is coming upon us and for those without a significant other, Galentine’s day is YOUR day! Before I met my husband, getting together with my girlfriends was a must-do on Valentine’s Day. Instead of sitting at home, eating ice-cream and crying into my pillow, I made it a must to call all my girlfriends over and laugh, watch Netflix and forget about the boys.

Galentine's Day

With Love Day around the corner, if you are pre-married or pre-cuffed, do like Leslie Knope did on Parks and recreation and get your Galentine’s Day celebration on and popping. So, what are your plans for Galentine’s Day? If you don’t have an idea, here are four things you could do:

  1. Send out cute invitation to your girlfriends and invite them out for brunch and mimosa’s
  2. Meet up at your local restaurant or lounge and spend time together with your favorite friends
  3. Treat yourself. Take yourself out for breakfast or dinner date or, better yet, plan a spa date with you, yourself and your favorite nail polish
  4. Plan a Netflix and chill night with yourself or a group of friends. Plan cute DIY projects and treats for them to take home with them.

I teamed up with two amazing blogger baes to come up with some beautiful Valentine/Galentine’s Day looks that will have you feeling like a million bucks. Here is what I would wear to a date night or a Galentine’s Day brunch with my girls. This look was inspired by the beautiful Queen Megan Markle herself.

I love this gorgeous H&M lace dress paired with a bright red wool coat and a fun Vivienne Westwood pair of red and gold heels. This look is not only dreamy but comfy and sexy at the same time. I felt like a queen in it.

My Galentine’s Day Date Ruthie Ridley of RuthieRidley went with the same color scheme and lace trend because great fashion minds think alike. Her lace dress with ruffles paired expertly with her purple platform heels and cross-body bag. Lace and Lilac is always a win because it’s very pretty and feminine and who doesn’t want to be both on LoveDay?!

My last blogger babe is Chimee of Aroundthewaygyrl and she decided to join our Galentine’s Day brunch with lots of pink and pizzaz. She wore a Shein Colorblock Coat with a New York and Company Sequin Skirt and a Target Graphic Tee. This look is for all our edgy but sophisticated girls.

Now that you have your Galentine’s Day event ideas and some look options, how do you plan on spending your day? Remember, just because you’re single doesn’t mean you have to stay home and feel bad about it. Plan something fun with friends or just for yourself. Happy almost Galentine’s Day loves.
