Our planet is sorely in need of more sustainable fashion. But, since we are not in charge of how textiles are made, items are shipped or the water and resources used to make our clothes, we have to find other ways to help the planet we call home.
Repurposing denim is such a great eco-friendly way to achieve sustainable fashion. With the resurgence of tie dyeing old t-shirts, pants and items of clothing, we see sustainable fashion at work. So, I was excited to able to partner with SplashedbyDKG to repurpose my favorite Boohoo jumpsuit. This jumpsuit was the perfect vehicle to add some print, color and pattern and create a whole new look.
When Splashedbydkg asked for an item of clothing to repurpose, I knew it had to be this ultra comfy and seasonal jumpsuit. I filled out my request form, mailed my item to them, gave them the colors and pattern I wanted and waited for them to do their magic.
I went from drab to fab without breaking the bank and all because I took a sustainable fashion route and reached out to SplashedbyDKG.

I opted for the Splashover which means my own piece of clothing is first tie dyed and then hand painted. The finished product was more than I imagined.
