Guest post by Angela Baltimore: Designer Fashion For Less
How many times have you browsed online and fallen in love with a beautiful
designer piece only to click on it and have your love buds stunned by the hefty
price tag. Although popularity and craftsmanship may deem your newly coveted
piece worthy, our wallets don’t always agree. Not to fret, sharing is caring right! I’m sharing
my tips on scoring designer fashion for less.
Sign Up for Email Lists- This tip is one of the best ways to ensure you will be
the first to know of any major sales and deals happening. When you’re signed up it gives you
exclusivity and first notices of discounts and sample sales so you can grab your favorite designer fashion for less.
The Best Sites to Shop- Scoring great deals is about knowing where to look. Over the past few years there have been so many fabulous luxury consignment and online sites that have emerged. Now you don’t have to venture out to Rodeo Drive or the elite part of the mall to buy your designer digs. Some department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom will even price match so you can get that coveted designer fashion for less.
Fashionphile- This is one of my favorite sites to score a deal on designer fashions for less such as bags, shoes and accessories. There are so many good things about this site. I love this site because: The items are all verified, they are discounted steeply, you can also sell your own items on the site and they let you reserve your favorite pieces and pay it off in installments.
Rent The Runway: On of the most amazing sites for great deals. The best part is that you can wear an item for 6 months and they will buy it back for 70% of the price. The perfect idea for those who like to switch it up.
Net A Porter- This is my absolute favorite site to shop on. It’s user friendly, has fast shipping and you can find great deals on the latest seasons bags, accessories, shoes and clothing. Now the key to score the deals is to look out for their biannual sales. They hold them twice a year and items are discounted up to 80 percent off.
The Outnet– An affiliate of Netaporter this site houses designer finds that usually have not sold from Netaporter. This means they will normally be from a previous season and sizes are limited.
YOOX- Also a company of Net-a-Porter (hmmm notice a pattern here) they have various levels of designers and the price points are aaaammmmmhzing! However, styles are very random so expect to find items from past seasons and limited sizes.
ModaOperandi- Founded in 2010, the cool attribute of this online luxury retailer; they allow customers to preorder looks directly from designers, immediately after their runway show. Check out their sales section for the best prices.
My Theresa- If you want to score the latest newer designer fashions for less, this is the site to scout. My Theresa has a huge selection and really has the best deals if you’re looking for newer items. I recently scored the new Balenciaga knife pumps for more than 50% off. I’ve even spotted the highly coveted Marine Serre, worn by the likes of Beyonce and Kylie Jenner, on major discount.
Follow Luxury Influencers on Social Media- Not only should you be checking out the sites listed above to score designer deals, but you should definitely be following luxury influencers. There are several individuals out there who do the dirty work for you. Some of them even offer personal shopping to find you deals on specific items and all the designer fashion for less you could ever want. Here are a few: Fashionsherlock, Chasing Luxuries, Luxe Hunt, Shopual and Classles
I hope these tips will help you the next time you’re in the market to shop designer . For more of my tips on designer fashion for less, read my post Designer Must Haves: The Best Items to Invest In. We all deserve a little luxury in our life; why not indulge for less. Happy Shopping!
